The seats were hard and the ride was bumpy I was not very impressed with the bus. It was a very uncomfortable ride from Maple Grove Minnesota to Sioux Falls South Dakota.

I am very happy with the services and drivers on the bus line. I wish there was a policy about using the speaker functions on cell phones. It would be more courteous to require ear buds or headphones ... I am very happy with the services and drivers on the bus line. I wish there was a policy about using the speaker functions on cell phones. It would be more courteous to require ear buds or headphones to listen to cell phones. I always have my ringer off and used headphones to listen to programs or music. I just think it’s inconsiderate to other passengers.

Dropped us off in "Madison, Wisconsin", barely inside the city limits near an Arby's, not even at a building, in December when it was 15 degrees. Nuff said.

Jefferson Lines is probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. Twice, they've canceled my bus; the second time with only one day's notice—too late to make other arrangements. This alone is frustr ... Jefferson Lines is probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. Twice, they've canceled my bus; the second time with only one day's notice—too late to make other arrangements. This alone is frustrating, but not damning. The thing that makes them irredeemably horribly is their refund policy. Tickets are nonrefundable, even if they cancel your trip. You can transfer your tickets to another trip, but they charge you $20 for the transfer. You need to wait on the phone for hours, get hung up on dozens of times, and argue with unhelpful representatives in order to get these blatantly unjust fees waived. (edited)

Totally undependable ! 10 out of 10 times its been late , hours late depart at 4:55 pm ? but dont show up till 7:30 pm then get ragged out by driver that she didnt know she had to pick up 4 people the ... Totally undependable ! 10 out of 10 times its been late , hours late depart at 4:55 pm ? but dont show up till 7:30 pm then get ragged out by driver that she didnt know she had to pick up 4 people there we werent on her schedule but we had tickets 2 days prior to the day. then bus been cancelled all week at the last minute and now missed 5 appointments and lost $300 over not being able to get to appointment to sign on a house so poof goes $300 and now cant make another appointment with doctor because of cancelling day after day due to shitty bus service and when call and ask for refund to credit card they say no sorry you have file a paper request form and they handled in order received but we will credit for another bus trip. really ?? when you been canceled all week and cant provide me the service now? sorry im done with this company and ladies answering phone are rude as hell and hang up or will put you on hold over and over till phone auto hangs up after so long. really ?? you got alot of work to do to regain customers respect and business. try giving people a free trip when you have to cancel their trips !! that would be nice cause i would give mine away to someone that needs it and can take the chance of them nit showing up all week. lucky i was leaving home town or i would be sleeping on the street for over a week with 3 kids. thanks for nothing jefferson lines bus company. you need better customer service and drivers that shut off the gps so they dont know where they are and are running late then we get no wifi during trip because she cut off gos seeing as she was over 3 hours late and her grandson is riding her trips with her because she was babysitting. totally unprofessional for sure. hope you change things , just because your the only service here dont mean you can treat people like crap.

I can't say if Jefferson Lines bus service is comfortable or not because I never got a chance to ride on it. They abandoned four other people and me at the bus stop leaving us to find other transport ... They abandoned four other people and me at the bus stop leaving us to find other transportation. While waiting for the bus to pick us up - this route was from Madison to Minneapolis - we watched as other bus companies stopped, picked up passengers, and then left. In each case, the bus driver exited the bus, opened the cargo door, and waited at least ten minutes for everyone to show their tickets and board. Jefferson Lines doesn't do this. Instead, the Jefferson Lines bus was at least 20 min late. When it arrived, the bus driver let off one passenger, jumped back on the bus, and drove away. None of the people waiting - including myself - had a chance to ask the driver if he was going to Minneapolis. He stayed on the bus with the door shut and then just took off. When I tried to get a refund, the bus company told me that the bus driver was only 15 min late - not true at all - and that he had waited the allotted 5 minutes. Five minutes! That's a much shorter stop than any other bus line making long-haul trips. Maybe it would have worked if the bus driver had indicated he was ready to board passengers. He didn't. As I said, he hid on the bus for a couple of minutes and then drove away. All the abandoned passengers managed to get on another bus from a different company. That bus arrived on time, waited at least 10 minutes for everyone to store their bags and board, and then drove comfortably to our final destinations. Jefferson Lines should look at their competition to figure out how to treat its customers properly.

My son's bus was cancelled at the last minute with no reason given. He was very disappointed to not be able to complete his planned travel. We have no other use for this cancelled bus ticket so we are supposed to just accept losing our money.
