This is my 1st and last time using a Citiliner Bus and I regret my decision I should've taken a taxi or another bus from Johannesburg to Pietermaritzburg but thought for comfort and affordability it' ... This is my 1st and last time using a Citiliner Bus and I regret my decision I should've taken a taxi or another bus from Johannesburg to Pietermaritzburg but thought for comfort and affordability it'll be better to take this bus, right now as I type this review - the bus got a tyre puncture at around 13:00 we waited for mechanic who came and couldn't change the tire and the driver left with Greyhound bus leaving us in the middle of nowhere without any explanation. Bus supposed to leave joburg at 10:15 and arrive in Pmb at 17:10 and to top it all the bus arrived late and now this!! No recommendation to anyone and will never use it again 😥😥

What a bad experience with citiliner bus… firstly it was late at my pick up point. Secondly it broke down halfway to my destination. Spent hours waiting for it to be fixed. Spent hours waiting for it to be fixed. They didn’t even think of sending us another bus. Very frustrated and unhappy with the service. To top it off, it is full of cockroaches 🪳

What a bad experience, it is now 23h23 almost midnight. My family was booked to leave JHB at 09h00 bit his didn't show up, replacement bus arrived at 14h00, the time at which they should be arriving ... At 18h30 the bus burst a rear tyre and got fixed two hours later. Bis not yet in Durban at 23h38

I am so not happy with your services, firstly the toilet smells so bed for a long distance trip, secondly the bus was late in the morning, 3rdly the driver allows ppl to go to toilets each stops which ... I am so not happy with your services, firstly the toilet smells so bed for a long distance trip, secondly the bus was late in the morning, 3rdly the driver allows ppl to go to toilets each stops which makes the trip even longer while we just breathing kak and lastly the time estimated on my ticket for drop off has passed actually it is 1 hour 3 minutes late how ridiculous is this while i paid R600 for this damn trip

Worst service ever, the bus broke down from 17:15 we were told mechanic will arrive 15 min to our suprise we waited 2hours for the mechanic who failed to fix the bus,we waited another 4 hours for anot ... Very bad experience, bus breakdown, no communication should leave 10.30 in Pretoria - 14h30 still in Johannesburg still wait for bus to be fix - send another bus that can make it to Capetown-no cell p ... A delay is normally 30mins-1hr. This is more then 2 hours now. The staff at parkstation also doesn't know what's happening. You ask them where is the bus, they also don't know. I wouldn't recommend this bus to anyone😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

The worst bus ever…booked a bus for 06:15, only to leave after 14 hours

Worst service ever. The Citiliner bus was supposed to depart at 8am only for it to arrive at 12pm. The only communication we recieved was at 7h30 saying there will be a delay. The only communication we recieved was at 7h30 saying there will be a delay. A delay is normally 30mins-1hr. This was 4 hours. The staff at parkstation also doesn't know what's happening. You ask them where is the bus, they also don't know. I also had a few bags with me. From my experience with other companies, they are supposed to weigh your bags then charge you. They didn't weigh my bags, the requested R100. I had no problem with this as this is what I was expecting to pay, only for the guy to request cash. I now had to go withdraw money in this busy parkstation then he had the audacity to shout at me and be mad at me when I delayed, mind you, they are 4 hours late already. My guess is that they are putting the money in their own pocket. The 1 star is literally just for the comfort of the bus. I would not recommend this bus line to anyone ever.
