I booked greyhound premium but I was allocated the normal bus....my charging point was not working...the seats were not comfortable ...not enough space within the seats to create a room for my legs

I am absolutely furious and deeply disappointed with Greyhound. What a rip-off!
I booked Greyhound Premium (Dreamliner) for 03 October 2025, departing from Midrand at 18:35 — ticket references GHA612O01, GHA612O02, and GHA612O03.
I was travelling with two kids, expecting a Premium service with a spacious, clean bus and the 2-1 seat layout that makes travelling more comfortable for families. That was the main reason I paid extra for Premium.
The experience was a nightmare from the start. The bus was over an hour late, and there was no communication, update, or apology. I had to call the call centre myself to find out what was going on — only to be told they didn’t even know it was delayed.
When the bus eventually arrived, it was not the Premium Dreamliner I paid for. It was a standard single-deck bus, dirty, smelling of urine, and cramped. The seats were filthy, recliners didn’t work, and the layout was wrong — two seats on each side, not the Premium layout advertised.
I booked well in advance (on 5 September) expecting quality service and comfort. Instead, I got false advertising, poor service, and no value for my money.
This is unacceptable, misleading, and unfair. I was inconvenienced, disrespected, and taken advantage of as a paying customer.
I demand a full refund for this terrible experience and for the false promise of a Premium Dreamliner service that I never received. Greyhound should be ashamed — this is not how you treat loyal customers!

I recently used Greyhound for the first time, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The bus was delayed by two hours without any prior communication. When it finally arrived, it looked old and made concerning noises while on the road. The driver never informed us when the bus stopped for a break; he simply stepped outside, and passengers had to figure it out ourselves. On top of that, the bus was dirty, and the charging ports were not working. Never again. I don't recommend this to anyone!!

I would like to compliment and thank, 2 drivers , Charles and Patrick on their friendliness and making my journey comfortable. They were cautious and careful on the road.
However, the bus needed lots of TLC. The charging ports needs to be fixed. Toilets need a lot of attention for hygiene purposes on long journeys.
The chairs need fixing as some are broken.
Customer satisfaction is priority.

I bought a ticket that leaves potchefstroom on the 12th of july and the bus came 2 hours late, i took alternative faster transport and requested refund and they refused.my money went to waste and my day spoiled coz i missed my appointment. My advice, if you have a meeting, appointment, interview or life threatening emergency or let me just say serious matter to attend to,greyhound is not an option. Don't be like me 1 day

The bus was dirty and grimy, inboard toilet facilities were filthy and only one toilet/refreshment stop on a 19 hour trip. Bus was swarming with cockroaches. Was told not to open windows but the air on was never switched on. During the night the heaters were turned up so high you couldn’t sleep it was so sweaty and uncomfortable, even the sealed chocolate in my cooler bag melted. No covers on the headrests. Lots of rubbish from previous trips, broken table rest. Very dissatisfying

I haven't travelled by bus for years. So I was a bit nervous. But what a smooth, safe trip. The driver and co-driver said they will see that I get out and stretch my legs for I cannot sit that long. I was so at ease by the way the driver drove the bus and felt so safe. They were very friendly all the time. I can really give credit to Greyhound and these drivers for making this a trip to remember. I will recommend Greyhound to anyone because we all see the bus accidents from InterCape etc. I have rearly heard aboit accidents from Greyhound and I can see why. Well done Greyhound and those drivers. Keep it up!
