My recent journey from Mangalore to Mumbai on 5th till 6th May, was extremely disappointing due to several issues faced throughout the trip. Below are the concerns I encountered:
• AC Cooling Issues: The air conditioning system in the bus was not functioning properly, making the journey uncomfortable, especially in the warm weather.
• Bus Breakdown and Lack of Communication: The bus broke down in Mumbai due to a lack of diesel, and we were told it would take 1-1.5 hours to fix. The situation could have been avoided had the bus stopped at a petrol pump during the 21.5-hour journey, which didn’t happen. Moreover, we were asked to board public transport instead of waiting for the repair, which was highly unprofessional and inconvenient. Additionally, there was a lack of communication regarding delays and the breakdown. No updates were provided during this time, leaving passengers confused and frustrated.
• Lack of Rest Stops: The bus made almost no rest stops. There was only one 15-minute stop after 6-8 hours, during which passengers had to rush for basic needs like using the restroom and grabbing food. This is unacceptable, especially given the lack of a restroom on the bus. The onboard restroom was not in use after midnight due to cleanliness issues, which I believe could have been addressed if proper cleaning protocols were in place.
• Unhelpful Staff: At midnight, a passenger requested a stop for a restroom break, but the staff rudely refused, citing the need to avoid delays. This was not only inconsiderate but also unprofessional.
• Poor Hygiene at Food Stops: The locations chosen for food and tea breaks were extremely unhygienic, with poor restroom facilities and questionable food quality. These were not acceptable for passengers on a long journey.

Absolutely Horrible Experience with PVS Bus Service (Mumbai to Mangalore - 22nd December)
I am utterly disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by PVS Bus for our trip from Mumbai to Mangalore on 22nd December. This was by far the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. Here’s what happened:
1. Initial Delay and Lack of Communication:
The bus was scheduled to arrive at 3:30 PM. We arrived at the pickup location at 2:30 PM, only to receive a message at 2:45 PM that the bus had been rescheduled to 4:30 PM. Despite this one-hour delay, we tried to remain patient, as the drop-off time in Mangalore was 9:30 AM the next day. However, the bus didn’t arrive at 4:30 PM either — it finally showed up at 6 PM, leaving us standing on the roadside for hours without any seating or proper updates.
2. Unfit Driver and Improper Route:
Once the bus arrived, we were shocked to find out that the driver was unwell and needed to stop for a 30-minute rest shortly after departure. It was later revealed that this bus was not even meant for the Mumbai-Mangalore route; the driver usually operated on the Mumbai-Hyderabad route and was completely unfamiliar with the Mangalore journey. Passengers had to help navigate using Google Maps!
3. Critical Safety Issue with Rear Tire:
During one of the breaks, passengers noticed that the rear tire had a missing bolt, which is a severe safety concern. When we pointed this out to the driver, he casually admitted that he was unaware of it. To make matters worse, the bus did not have a spare wheel, a jack, or even a spanner to tighten the loose bolts. The passengers had to insist on stopping at the next petrol station to find a puncture repair shop and get it fixed. This level of negligence is unacceptable and put everyone’s safety at risk.
4. Unbelievable Delay:
Instead of reaching Mangalore at the promised time of 9:30 AM, the bus arrived at 7 PM — over 10 hours late! This caused massive inconvenience, especially for passengers with flights.
