We were supposed to take a bus at 5:45am and arrived half an hour earlier as stated on the ticket. The ticket counter of trans Salvador was dark and empty when we arrived. Asking at the official general boarding ticket counter they told as the bus leaves at puerta 6. When we went there, we were told that the bus still have not arrived. When it got close to 5:45am we became a bit nervous and asked at different puertas, but nobody knew anything. Finally a woman offered to help us and asked for another lady. This lady was appeartly the responsible for the trans Salvador ticket counter. She told us the bus has already left and that it was our fault because we haven't been on time and haven't been at the ticket counter. As we have by accident been at the supposed gate at time of departure it is clear that that was a lie. She did not believe us when we said we have been there. Neither did she offered an alternative. We ended up buying another ticket by Transzela, which where much cheaper and the bus itself really nice!

On the ticket we had a departure time of 5.45 am, and we found out that "normally" the bus leaves at 6.40 am, although it actually left around 7.15 am. After numerous enquiries to the staff at the station about the waiting time the information was still that "about half an hour more". During this time we waited in a cold station, with no free water or tea and paid toilets. Eventually the bus arrived, but a different one. We had paid for a "vip" bus with a half-folding bed, but a regular, mid-range minivan arrived. As it was an international trip, we had to change buses at the border and they gave us another bus, which was a bit better, but the bus said it would have wifi, which of course it did not .Of course, there is also no wifi or blankets or toilets or food and drink on the bus. When we arrived, we went to ask for a refund of some of our money because we had not met the conditions of the trip, but we were refused.
