I had a very disappointing experience with this service. I specifically booked a bus that had a washroom facility because it is essential for me due to a medical condition. However, without any prior notification, the bus was changed to one without a washroom.
When I contacted customer care, I was informed about the change only after the fact, and to make matters worse, I was told that a full refund is not possible. This lack of communication and consideration for customer needs is unacceptable.
This situation caused significant inconvenience and stress, especially given my medical requirement. I expected better transparency and customer support.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious while booking, as important amenities can be changed without notice.

DONT go by rating on booking apps like EaseMyTrip, the rating is a big scam to lure in people. Rude and uncouth staff who dont have basic manners to talk with passengers. They will only stop in VRL r ...
DONT go by rating on booking apps like EaseMyTrip, the rating is a big scam to lure in people. Rude and uncouth staff who dont have basic manners to talk with passengers. They will only stop in VRL rest stops even if that means keeping the passengers waiting for basic things like using the loo for 5+ hours. They are just concerned with getting additional business for snacks at their own rest stops, and will not even listen to requests for stopping at any sulabh facilities on the way.Even if its ac sleeper traveller, they simply switched off the AC during the night, and we woke up sweating to realise it later. Any concern raised is met with shouting and rude responses, as if they are doing you a favour by giving you a ride.

Such a disgusting experience when it comes to cleanliness and stopping at services. They stop at the worst restaurants and worst toilets with just one toilet where 2 buses arrive at the same time.

I would like to bring to your attention the issues I faced during my recent journey:
As mentioned online, the bus was supposed to be a Multi-Axle Volvo, but in reality, it was in very poor condition.
The AC was not functioning properly, and several screws were loose.
The upper screw bolts were not tightened; most of them were loose and looked like they could come off at any moment.
The bus curtains were dirty and not maintained properly.
The bedsheet was not washed — it looked like it had already been used and simply folded and kept again.
There was a very strong unpleasant smell inside the bus, especially around seats U13 & U14, making it difficult to sit due to the bad odor.
This is the condition of the bus — how are customers supposed to trust VRL? If the promised comfort is not provided, what is the point of paying such high prices? To be honest, the amount I paid was not at all worth it.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. The bus condition did not match the description provided online. It is not a Multi-Axle Volvo as advertised. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve had, and even government buses are maintained better than this. The issues were particularly concerning in Bus No. MH09 EM 3198.
NOTE: Please look into these VRL bus issues and kindly take appropriate action.

the bus (KA-25-C-6972) should drop @ 7:30 or 8 the bus ended up dropping @11:00 and driver was so kanguse he was busy in putting the bus in neutral all the time to save fuel and get benefits he didn’t cross 80km/h he stopped several time for pee and his energy booster (vimal or gutka) bus is very late n slower than Bangalore traffic
Highly recommend not to choose VRL for lifetime

I RAISED MY CONCERN WITH BOTH THE DRIVERS, ONE OF THEM WHO HAD LONG HAIR AND RELATIVELY YOUNGER THAN THE OTHER WAS VERY ARROGANT. HE TOLD ME JUST GO AND SLEEP Y R U EATING MY HEAD...THESE WERE HIS WORDS....I HAD TO TO ASK HIM...WOULD HE BE COMFORTABLE TO TAKE LADIES FROM HIS FAMILY TO SUCH SPOTS AT NIGHT....IS THIS THE KIND OF EXPERIENCE WE PAY FOR?
IN ADDITION, THE HOTEL PANCHAME WHERE THEY STOPFOR DINNER WAS ALSO PATHETIC AND UNHYGIENIC. WHEN I ASKED DRIVER Y DONT YOU STOP AT SOME DECENT PLACES...HE SHOWED ME A GOVT BUS AND TOLD ME ALL BUSES STOP HERE....I TOLD HIM THANK YOU FOR EQUATING VRL WITH GOVT BUS..MI THOUGHT VRL WAS BETTER...

Extremely Disappointed – Worst Travel Experience Ever (Nagpur to Pune, 18th May)
I had one of the worst travel experiences with [Bus Company Name] on 18th May. The bus was scheduled to depart from Nagpur to Pune at 8:00 PM. Around 2:00 AM, the bus broke down due to an engine leak, leaving all passengers stranded on the highway for over 6 hours with zero communication or assistance from the company.
At 8:00 AM, a replacement bus finally arrived — but unbelievably, it also broke down due to a compressor issue. By this time, a 13-hour journey had already turned into a 24+ hour nightmare, and I still hadn’t reached Pune when I posted this.
I had important academic papers scheduled, and this delay has irreparably affected my studies and career plans. It’s shocking that a so-called "premium" service runs back-to-back faulty buses, yet charges high prices with no accountability.
If this is the level of maintenance and service being provided, then the company should either stop advertising as premium or drastically improve its standards. I received no proper response, no apology, and no compensation — only stress, wasted time, and huge academic loss.
Would never recommend this service to anyone. Extremely unprofessional and negligent.

It was a horrible experience with vrl ....we were delayed by 4 hours because of the condition of the bus

The drivers have to be really appreciated because they were very supportive and made sure everyone reached back safely
But all the blame for vrl travels....they couldn't allocate an additional bus , they didn't keep the bus condition in check , they couldn't arrange anything that could make us reach on time
We had to sit idol for 3 hours untill another bus had to come all the way from Bangalore
Proper checks and precautions should be taken by VRL travels before assigning the busses especially in Bangalore to honnavar , and kumta routes
Day by day their service is deteroiting
