People need ... The bus on 27 April 2024 from Amsterdam to Sofia supposed to come at 17:00 in Bonn-Köln airport Bus Station. The bus came at 19:21. The drivers smoked constantly and the bus has no toilet. People need toilet including children, the bus driver was shouting and obnoxious and saying that he will decide when he will drive the bus to parking with toilet for the passengers. I told the driver that he is not the one to choose when people need toilet, he answered to me to shutout, otherwise he will throw me out of the bus on the highway.

I’m sitting here with my shirt off and my pants rolled up to my knees and it’s 5 degrees outside right now. Why the hell is it so hot on this bus. My hip feels like it has gained an extra 30 years just from this one bus trip and not even the local Hindley Street massage parlours will be able to fix it. All in all, probably the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Temperature in the bus was 33 degrees, all the food I carried got bad and had to throw it away

The bus driver did not speak a single word of English so he began yelling at me when I didn’t understand him when he was asking to see my passport, after handing him my passport I asked if I can have it back and he started yelling again and gesturing for me to go sit down. I boarded the bus with 2 other older men, and the 3 of us struggled to find a seat. Not because the bus was full, but because everyone had either extended their feet out or sat on the outer most seat and kept their heads down. Eventually the two older men were Bulgarian began arguing with these older Bulgarian ladies because they wouldn’t let the older men sit beside them. The bus driver didn’t care and began moving the bus while the 3 of us were still standing without a seat. Eventually a nice Russian man let me sit beside him. I forgot to mention, this bus had the most horrid smell of feet, body odour and cigarettes, almost every person had their shoes off and socks off and I could smell the combined potency of 100 smelly feet. On top of that every person was open mouth coughing, and those coughs sounded like it came with a real illness, if you were to tell me this was ground zero for a the next airborne virus that would pause the world again, I would believe it. This bus made waaay too many stops for smoke breaks and bathroom breaks. One every 45-60 minutes. Another 3 passengers boarded the bus halfway through my trip, and they went up and down the bus without being able to find a seat as all the passengers refused to give up the open seat next to them. It came to the point where the passengers made their way make to the front to explain to the bus drivers that they couldn’t sit. The bus driver then got up and started shouted and arguing with the group of Bulgarians who refused to give up the open seat next to to them. DO NOT BOOK THIS BUS!

Rubbish all over the bus. Dangerous driving, long route with lots of stops. Unsafe and traumatic experience; needs a serious root cause analysis to improve this service.

Before getting on the bus, the driver checked our tickets and told us the number of the seats (together). We got on, we went towards them and they were occupied, a corpulent passenger was standing next to our seats to tell us that we were not going to sit there, that they were already occupied by them and that we would have to get separated (in turn the whole group who seemed to be traveling together looked at us and laughed). We asked them nicely if they could at least let me and my partner sit together and they said no, it was their place. We felt very unprotected and threatened, so we had no choice but to turn back. At that moment the driver started arguing with the group, we felt insecure and unable to make a trip of more than 7 hours with these people and to arrive in an unknown city at 3am in the night with them so we had to get off the bus .
