I usually use Union Ivkoni when travelling between Bulgaria and Greece, but this time I was with a dog, and had to book with Arda Turs, as no other line allows dogs.
The bus arrived on time, but the moment the driver started driving, I realized he was being very careless. He would not slow down turns and would even accelerate, and was not keeping to his lane. During the one-lane road that passes through the mountain between Sandanski and Blagoevgrad, he would still not slow down, even though it was night and there were plenty of other cars.
At a brief stop, I approached him and asked him in Bulgarian whether he could slow down during the turns, as I was getting nauseous. He replied with arrogance that he is also getting nauseous, that he can't slow down because he needs to be on time, and commented that the road ahead was particularly difficult. When I asked what the solution to that was, he replied by saying "if we need to throw up, we will throw up". This is your typical vulgar, arrogant Bulgarian, who clearly is not interested in doing his job correctly, and would rather fight you if you try to speak up.
Needless to say, he was driving so fast that we reached Sofia 15 minutes in advance. I am glad I survived! I was feeling uneasy and unsafe during the whole trip, and I am never booking this company again.
If anyone wants to travel in the region, please use Union Ivkoni.

There was no wifi as it should be, the bus driver didn't speak any English so it was impossible to communicate and ask questions, the lady which was helping him was very rude, the bus driver didn't turn off the lights even if it was the night and everybody wanted to sleep I need to ask him for it, I had a problem with my open round ticket so basically they wanted to steal my money. Very shitty not recommend at all

They lied, they stop everywhere. Takes them 3 to 5 times the time it takes proper company
Take any other bus even 10hrs later and u will still arrive earlier

Disgusting travelling! Holy shit! I am really mad about it! Reading these reviews I am really thankful that my bus has come. Most of the people in the bus had tickets without places. Usually it means either stuff tell you your seats before getting in the bus or you just choose seats by yourself. Pfff… For Ardatur to easy… Let’s do it as much difficult as possible… We got into the bus and and chose the seats. Several times on some stops other people approached us to say those places are theirs. We have change our seats at least 2 times. When I was trying to ask a question about this, the lady from this firm just ignored me 5-6 times. The drivers don’t speak any language as lots of people write here. Fuck yourself, Ardatur! Logistic stuff is not yours at all. Hope you will have no clients and become broken. Think my reaction for such stupid thinks is too much? I’m writing this just in moment. Of course I’m angry. Fuck, we are in Europe, make appropriate service, don’t disgrace yourself. That’s it!

Never again. We missed our two international flights due to Arda tur bus delays. The bus arrival to Burgas was late, after 16.40. Departure from Burgas also was 1hr late. Border queues took 1.5hrs. ...
Never again. We missed our two international flights due to Arda tur bus delays. The bus arrival to Burgas was late, after 16.40. Departure from Burgas also was 1hr late. Border queues took 1.5hrs. After the border check up, the bus stopped by a local restaurant for 1/2hr where the driver decided to wash the whole bus, although we were pleading we are close to missing our flights. Lastly we had terrible traffic after Chirlu due to road repairs. Surely Arda tur was aware of these traffic jams, yet we were not even allowed usage of wifi on the bus. We arrived at Istanbul Airport at 23.15pm instead of 21.30pm.
Very rude driver. Slamming breaks all the time and almost made an accident at the border control. Not speaking any language, but Turkish only. We do not reccomend under any circumstances this bus line. We had to buy two new flight tickets for each of us, as well as book an expensive accomodation at the Instanbul airport. I would however reccomend the bus management to implement check on the passengers final destinations upfront in order to prevent the poor customer service from happening.

There is no WI Fi. As Arda tur team said "the price doesn't include free WI Fi, the company offers it complimentary". As a result, there is a chance to have it half way or don't have it at all. It's better not to mention this option, since some really rely on this service. There was unnecessary stop for 30 min after 2 hours of drive. I do understand that driver needs some rest, but not after just 2 hours of drive....

Dear Arda Tours Customer Service,
I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the extremely poor experience we had during our recent journey with your company.
The bus we booked was 2.5 hours late, which immediately disrupted our travel plans. Once we were finally on board, the situation became even worse. Throughout the 5.5-hour ride, passengers were openly drinking beer and whiskey, loudly laughing, and even snoring due to intoxication. This created an unpleasant and unsafe environment for all travelers.
What made the situation particularly distressing was that my child was frightened during the journey due to the behavior of the drunk passengers. This is completely unacceptable for a professional tour operator.
As a result of these delays and disturbances, we arrived at our final destination nearly 4 hours later than scheduled, effectively losing half a day of our holiday at the hotel we had paid for.
I expect a serious response from your company regarding this incident, as well as appropriate compensation for the time lost and the unacceptable conditions we were subjected to.
I trust you will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.

Unfortunately there was no organization. From Thessaloniki to Burgas (the employee in Thessaloniki) made sure to pick up passengers from our seats as it was in the wrong seats. However, the same did not happen after At the next stops. There was chaos at the seats. From Burgas to Thessaloniki there was no organization at all. none of the office employees (and the drivers) spoke English.
