I am a Canadian, living retired in Portugal. Weeks in advance, I booked a return trip with BusBud, from Portimao Algarve to Sao Martinho do Porto for May 10-15. COST: €22,80 x 2 =€45,60. Unexpec ... I am a Canadian, living retired in Portugal. Weeks in advance, I booked a return trip with BusBud, from Portimao Algarve to Sao Martinho do Porto for May 10-15. COST: €22,80 x 2 =€45,60. Unexpectantly, I needed immediate surgery for a cancer tumor. My Sao M. I contacted rede expressos, the bus company I was travelling, who allow changes or refunds. But they said they could not help me because my bkg was via BusBud. When then contacted BusBud, asking for a change of date for my reservation to June 20-25, or else, a refund. I was told I should have read their small print terms on the rede expressos site(which is all in Portuguese!) No changes, no refunds possible. I wrote a complaint letter to them, no reaction. I then booked the return trip with FlixBus for June 20-25. Total price of tickets:16,98 & 13,98 = €31,00 Then my friend cancelled her trip to join me, and I therefore needed to change my departure times. I contacted FlixBus this morning per website. 10 minutes later, I had a new date for departure, = charge for the date and time change, AND I had immediately received 2 vouchers for the cancellation of my friend, total €24,00, valid until 12:05.24. I REST MY CASE!

The server had an error while making my reservation AND they CHARGED MY CARD. They don't answer emails and they don't have phone to call. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM.

Absolutely awful. My bus from London/Western to Toronton/Pearson was almost 3 hours late. We received a notification that there would be a 30 minute delay but that was not the case. We received a notification that there would be a 30 minute delay but that was not the case. As a result I missed my flight. Do NOT book with them!!

The driver's have terrible customer service and shady. Took a BlaBlaBus from London to Paris. My fiance and I read the terms and conditions of having 1 checked luggage for each and 1 carry on lug ... The driver's have terrible customer service and shady. Took a BlaBlaBus from London to Paris. My fiance and I read the terms and conditions of having 1 checked luggage for each and 1 carry on luggage. We have complied to these conditions but when we got on the bus, the driver said we needed to pay an extra 10 pounds for our carry on. We didn't want to cause any trouble and so we just quickly agreed. But we re read the email and it says if we need to pay for any additional then its an extra 3 euro. Your driver insisted it had to be 10 euro CASH, but we only had a 20 euro, asked for change, and he just quickly took the 20. This is very unprofessional. It showcases the company is clearly misleading and is a scam against tourists by adding additional fees on-site.

I purchased two tickets from BusBud for TranSantin bus going from Santiago (Chile) to San Antonio (Chile) on January 1, 2023, to board a cruise ship. When we came to the TranSantin bus terminal and shown our tickets, the TranSantin representative said "we don't work with BusBud, and we don't even have buses going from Santiago to San Antonio". We had to run with our heavy backpacks to another bus station a few blocks away, stay in line for one hour, and managed to get the very last two tickets on the Pullman bus to San Antonio. If we didn't get those tickets, the cruise ship would leave without us! I contacted BusBud, received a reply "We are very sorry to hear about this experience, and I understand how frustrating it must have been for you. I have already contacted the bus company to investigate more thoroughly and request an exceptional refund on your behalf." I waited for three weeks, sent another e-mail, and received exactly the same message. And no refund! Needless to say, I will never use BusBud again.

I spoke to my father on 12/19 about getting his ticket for 12/25. I got busy and booked late without hearing from my father. (He is homeless and doesn’t always have access to a phone) after I booked I realized maybe I shouldn’t have booked because the Houston freeze was actually happening. (We have wishy washy weather) then late that night after i started the refund process for adverse weather, I got a call that my father had been in the hospital since 12/20. He wasn’t even conscious the first few days enough to remember my number. He was not released until the 26th (Also his birthday) and still being denied a refund by Busbud, and getting the run around about getting another ticket, my father had no where to go. It was the last of my money so I couldn’t get another ticket. Now almost two weeks later, they’ve flagged me “at risk” for trying to get my hard earned money back. All this during Christmas and the start of the new year. It is unreal and very inhumane of y’all to just take peoples money even after they paid the extra fees for refundable tickets.

The bus I booked to get back to Toronto ( fromn Ottawa ) never showed. Other people like me were left outside at night in the cold. This company is a total scum, stay away people

I just booked at ticket to Toronto for my daughter from Huntsville ON for tomorrow morning. On the website it indicated that departure from Huntsville On was 7:55am and she would arrive at Yorkdale ar ... I just booked at ticket to Toronto for my daughter from Huntsville ON for tomorrow morning. On the website it indicated that departure from Huntsville On was 7:55am and she would arrive at Yorkdale around 12:15pm (totally reasonable timeline). When I received the ticket and confirmation this trip had been split into two 7:55am - 10:05am to Orillia and then leaving Orillia 7:55pm and arriving in Toronto at Yorkdale at 9:40pm at night!! When I contacted them to cancel I received a response indicating that the ticket was non-exchangeable or refundable. The bottom line is the schedule posted doesn't match the ticket...totally unreasonable to take 14 hours to get to Toronto from a location that is within 2.5 hours of the GTA. I received no follow to my second email seeking a resolution. I've contacted Visa and this transaction will be disputed based on false information. I strongly advise against using this service. Very unsatisfactory customer service.

What ended up happening is me receiving the confirmation and and tickets I bought for two passengers only for them to arrive at the train station and there only being one ticket in the VIA rail system. The train was missed over this error and I had to purchase two new tickets. I've yet to receive a FULL refund of the original tickets and new costs incurred. They don't have a 24hour customer service number either thats a red flag too! DO NOT USE this trash company! STILL WAITING FOR MY FULL REFUND! As mentioned in my previous post below... I have requested a FULL REFUND of both the tickets I initially purchased with Busbud along with FULL REIMBURSEMENT of the two new tickets I had to purchase from VIA Rail on-site due to the incomplete Busbud booking. The trip was booked for my granddaughter's 7 birthday to Montreal Canada. My daughter was scheduled to return to Toronto for work later that day and missed her shift because she was not back in Toronto on time. They say for 9 hours for the next departing train due to the immense confusion of the Busbud missing ticket and lack of immediate online customer service. The unexpected expenditure of having to purchase two whole new tickets from VIA put a heavy hit on my finances especially shy of Christmas. My daughter lost money from losing her shift! They sat and wasted time and both her and I lost money! Busbud offered a refund for the initial tickets and a credit for future travel. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! WHY would I ever use this company again? I have advised them numerous times of the situation, provided all proof including the tickets and receipts I have from the new tickets purchased due to their lack of professionalism. I DON'T want anything else to do with the company other than being refunded the outstanding balance! DO NOT USE Date of experience: December 22, 2022
