I am extremely disappointed with Intercape’s service. We bought tickets for a bus scheduled to leave Cape Town at 17:30, but the bus only departed at 22:00 with no explanation or proper communication. ... I am extremely disappointed with Intercape’s service. We bought tickets for a bus scheduled to leave Cape Town at 17:30, but the bus only departed at 22:00 with no explanation or proper communication. As if that wasn’t enough, we are now stuck in Kirkwood for another 5 hours, and the driver hasn’t given us any updates or information about what’s happening. The complete lack of communication and consideration for passengers is unacceptable. This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional travel experiences I’ve ever had. I would not recommend Intercape based on this trip.

I was very disappointed with the bus driver. He was young and very arrogant. He got on the bus and said he would only allow the people off if they wanted to do number 2. After 3 Hours of stopping and ... I was very disappointed with the bus driver. He was young and very arrogant. He got on the bus and said he would only allow the people off if they wanted to do number 2. After 3 Hours of stopping and driving did stop at Ventersdorp and allow the passages to disembark. There after he drove recklessly. On the turns he he did not stay on the left but drove on the right. I don't know where you found him but it was one of my worst trips that I've made on Inter Cape.

The bus drivers were nice and communicated well with us passengers. The issue was the arrival times, the ticket had shown an arrival time of 06:50 only for us to arrive at Johannesburg Park Station wa ... The bus drivers were nice and communicated well with us passengers. The issue was the arrival times, the ticket had shown an arrival time of 06:50 only for us to arrive at Johannesburg Park Station way past 9 am on bus 607 from Mthatha to Johannesburg/Pretoria. It ended up causing me to miss my connecting bus as well. Their arrival times keep getting worse each trip.

I traveled on the 16 of November 2025, We’ve been in tsumeb for 3 hours just moving around the town and we stopped somewhere in tsumeb for 30-45 minutes and the drivers are not saying anything. Do te ... Do tell your drivers to please talk to the passenger if there’s a problem or a delay because this is very inconvenient. Overall the bus was clean and comfortable just the above stated. And please stick to the arriving time. Thank you for your time looking forward to an improvement.

The bus departed late from park station and we had to stop for like 2hrs at Bosman to wait for another bus because the current one leaked water in from the windscreen

a terrible smell of urine as soon as I boarded. Passengers even asked for a different bus, but we were told the lavatory was blocked and that someone had tried to fix it. They sprayed deodorizer, but ... a terrible smell of urine as soon as I boarded. Passengers even asked for a different bus, but we were told the lavatory was blocked and that someone had tried to fix it. They sprayed deodorizer, but the smell stayed with us all the way from Durban to Johannesburg. It was honestly disgusting and made the trip very uncomfortable.
