However, the company’s services expanded to include passenger transportation via long-distance bus and train. In the spring of 2016, the buses were given the catchy name "RegioJet," which is now increasingly used to travel to other European countries.

Especially within the Czech Republic, RegioJet's timetables are characterized by a high frequency. The company’s most important route, which connects Prague and Brno, is served every hour. But also, on international routes, travelers have the choice between several different trips. For example, there multiple connections from Berlin to Prague every day.

Popular Routes

In 2004, the Student Agency company, which offered all kinds of services to students, started with a long-distance bus route for the first time. This led from Prague to Brno. In the meantime, several Czech cities and numerous other destinations throughout European countries have been integrated into the RegioJet timetable. In addition to the usual routes, there is particularly strong demand for routes to the airports served. RegioJet currently connects many European destinations to London.

The History of RegioJet

RegioJet is the bus division of the Czech company Student Agency based in Brno. Student Agency was founded in the mid-1990s, with an initial focus on arranging au pair stays and language trips. The company's portfolio was gradually expanded and additional services for students were added.
In 2004, Student Agency offered passenger transportation within the Czech Republic for the first time. The first long-distance buses, which were still operating under the name of Student Agency, linked Brno to the Czech capital, Prague. Gradually more and more Czech cities and later also international destinations were added to the route network. The yellow buses, which have been operating under the name "RegioJet" since 2016, are now on the move in countries throughout Europe. In the first ten fiscal years from 2004 to 2014, RegioJet carried around 34 million travelers.

Beside ... At first it was OK, but about 2 years ago something has happened that really upset me. I had a flight from Vienna Airport and I booked a bus ticket to arrive there from Brno with 2 hours ahead. Besides the fact that the bus arrived 1 hour and 10 minutes later in Brno, it got in Vienna's Airport 2 hours and a half later. The plane was lost and I had no option to get to my destination anymore. Without any apologies, not to say without any refund or anything else. I booked tickets from Vienna's airport back, but because there was a time of over 6 hours to wait, I decided to go visit the city and I thought that getting in the bus at Stadion instead of the airport would be no problem. There was a problem: my seat was given away when I didn't boarded in Vienna's Airport. Since then I decided never to use RegioJet services again. According to my logic, once you have a seat booked, you drive with it empty if the person doesn't board in time. Perhaps I could catch the bus somewhere else ? So, in conclusion: I lost a plane because of a huge delay, no refund, had to wait for a bus until 11PM where the seat was given away in the airport to somebody else and I had to spend the night on the streets of Vienna. A respectable company when it has over an hour delay on the path, adds a bus to recover the time lost by the passengers. After all, when it's about dealing with airplanes, we're already on weird uncertainty of the time of flight and buses do not have schedule to sync with airplanes on-boarding. Many people spend their nights in the airport as the last bus arrives only around midnight and next is too late in the morning. Such delays, well, demonstrate clear disrespect for their passengers.

I have one complaint. The bus to Karlo Vary sets down at one terminal and picks up to return from another. Myself and a Russian woman both waited at the same place that we were dropped that day. No one told us we had to catch the returning bus at a different spot. Consequently we missed the bus.

I have travelled on Student Agency bus from Prague to London some years ago and the service was excellent. In July 2018 I revisited Prague and bought a ticket on Regio Jet Student Agency bus at Florenc Bus Station for travel to Dresden. The service was very poor at the ticket office and the young woman could hardly understand English. She sold me a ticket that had the wrong date of travel. I was refused boarding on the bus on the day of travel with such indifference and rudeness that I have not experienced anywhere, even in a third world country. I was forced to buy another ticket within only minutes of departure. It is sad to see this company deteriorate to these shoddy practices and obvious that they are struggling against the competition of others that are available. The staff are not interested in anyone who don't speak Czech and are just not interested. As a senior person I was shocked at the treatment I received and having to pay twice for the journey. All I heard was that it was the customers responsibility to get the right ticket! Avoid this company.

I took your bus from Brno to Reims in September 2016 at 8PM in Grand Hotel Brno, the bus arrived late, then there was a problem in the highway on the way to Prague, we arrived 20 minutes late for the connecting bus to Paris scheduled at midnight. We were given a room to stay the night in a hostel after 3 hours of going back and forth. Next day nobody from your company took care of the stranded passengers (we were about 30 or more). We had to buy new tickets for a higher price with another company in order to go home. We were stranded for 13 hours and we had to fend for ourselves. I suggest that you allow ample time for the connecting buses to connect so as to avoid these kind of problems. 2 hours between Brno and Prague is not enough, if traffic is bad due to rain or whatever reasons, then passengers get stranded in Prague.
